Starts from a reference edit
Upload a video you own or have permission to use, or pick a preset from the Katana library. The reference decides the shot structure, timing and overall look of the result.

Higgsfield Katana is an AI video editing skill for Claude, released by Higgsfield on October 8, 2026. You give it a reference edit and up to five photos, and it rebuilds the edit with your own people, products or clothes. This site collects 25 Katana videos — official demos and library presets — so you can see what it makes before you spend credits.
Independent site — not run by, affiliated with or endorsed by Higgsfield AI or Anthropic. Videos belong to Higgsfield and to the preset creators credited on each card.
Katana is not a text-to-video generator. It copies the structure of an edit you already like — the cuts, pacing, framing and effects — and fills it with your own subjects. Here is what goes in and what comes out, according to Higgsfield's own Katana guide.
Upload a video you own or have permission to use, or pick a preset from the Katana library. The reference decides the shot structure, timing and overall look of the result.
Add up to five photos of the people, products or clothing that should appear in the edit. Optional instructions tell Katana what to keep and what to change.
The Katana library is split into Personalized edits, Style transfer and Motion transfer. Presets come from Higgsfield and from the community, and anyone can publish one.
Katana works through the Higgsfield connector (MCP) in claude.ai or Claude Desktop, and Higgsfield labels it "powered by Claude Motion". Results appear in the chat and in your Higgsfield Assets.
In Higgsfield's test the result was an MP4 with the same duration, aspect ratio and frame rate as the reference. You don't set these separately in Claude.
Ask Claude to change a shot, swap a photo or adjust a detail in a normal message. In Higgsfield's test only the affected shots were regenerated.
Nine picks from our gallery of 25 videos. The two official clips come from Higgsfield's Katana page; the rest are presets published to the Katana library and credited to the creators who shared them. A preset is the reference edit Katana rebuilds with your photos.
Higgsfield's own reel from the Katana page: one music-video style edit played again and again with different people swapped in — the cuts, framing, lens flashes and titles stay the same.

A vertical "which outfit?" edit: one woman in several looks, large red and black captions, cut-out outlines and changing city backdrops.

A surreal portrait in a sunlit desert: a giant curled hairstyle, "detecting" scan overlays, orange colour flashes and magenta captions.
Preset by @itsmauve · higgsfield.ai/katana
The same structure as Face Edit 2 with a different character: a muscular, long-haired figure against a twilight sky. Compare the two to see how one edit carries over to a new subject.

A photocopy look: grainy black-and-white footage with a single red accent — a soda can, a BMX rider, a cat — and stacked "STATIC" type.
Preset by @cobalt.dream · higgsfield.ai/katana
Soft cel-shaded anime: a girl walks onto a sparkling stage, followed by headphone close-ups.
Preset by @enzoish · higgsfield.ai/katana
One basketball player cloned across the frame: crossover, spin and dunk laid out as a motion trail, with "Every move stays. Leave a trail." type.

One person, four colour palettes named Field, Cherry, Lilac and Cobalt: outfit swaps on a white background with colour swatches, ending on "Which one?".
Preset by @lilypadzzz · higgsfield.ai/katana
A warm film look: rowers on a misty lake at sunrise, close-ups of water splashing off the oars, lens flares and portraits.

Katana lives in Claude, not in a standalone app. You can start from the Katana page on higgsfield.ai or from a Claude chat with the Higgsfield connector installed. Either way it comes down to four steps.
In claude.ai or Claude Desktop, open Settings → Connectors, add a custom connector named Higgsfield with the URL https://mcp.higgsfield.ai/mcp, then sign in to your Higgsfield account. No API key is needed, but an active Higgsfield subscription is.
Choose a preset from the Katana library, or upload your own edit as a file. A direct link to a media file also works; Instagram or TikTok profile links don't.
Upload up to five photos of the characters, products or clothing you want in the edit, plus optional instructions. Claude shows the exact credit cost on a card before anything is generated.
Katana generates the edit and shows it in the chat with a preview and a download button; it is also saved to your Higgsfield Assets. Send follow-up messages to change shots or swap photos.
/katana — opens the preset catalog in the chat./katana/<preset-name> — runs one specific preset.Katana has no price list of its own. It runs on your Higgsfield plan, and Higgsfield hasn't published a fixed credit cost per edit.

FAQ
Short answers to what people ask about Katana, based on Higgsfield's own guide, changelog and launch post.
Higgsfield Katana is a video editing skill for Claude, released by Higgsfield on October 8, 2026. It takes a reference edit plus up to five photos and rebuilds the edit with your own characters, products or clothing. Higgsfield's changelog says it makes edits in Aura Farming, Motion or Clipping styles.
Katana has no price of its own. It uses credits from your Higgsfield subscription, and Claude shows the exact credit cost of each generation before it runs. Higgsfield has not published a fixed cost per edit, and plans differ by region.
Higgsfield's guide doesn't name one. You need a Claude account where you can add a custom connector (Settings → Connectors) and an active Higgsfield subscription. No API key is required.
A reference edit — your own video file or a library preset — and up to five photos of people, products or clothing, plus optional instructions. Use a reference you own or have permission to use.
In Higgsfield's test the result was an MP4 with the duration, aspect ratio and frame rate of the reference, so a 12-second vertical reference gives a 12-second vertical edit. These settings can't be changed separately in Claude.
No. Higgsfield says links to Instagram or TikTok profiles are not accepted and the reference has to be uploaded as a file. A direct link to a media file does work.
Use Publish preset on the Katana page. A community preset needs a 3 to 30 second video for the motion, up to 40 images, and a prompt that mentions those images with @. Shared presets go live right away and can be removed after reports.
Both are Higgsfield skills that run in the same Claude chat and share the same Assets. Katana rebuilds a whole edit from a reference; Genjutsu does motion transfer and object swap on a video.
No. This is an independent gallery and guide, not run by or affiliated with Higgsfield AI or Anthropic. To use Katana, go to higgsfield.ai/katana or use the Higgsfield connector in Claude.
Browse every case in the gallery, filtered by Personalized edits, Style transfer and Motion transfer, then open Katana on Higgsfield once you know which edit you want.
